In compliance of High Court observation on 27.10.2015 (while deciding  W.A. (MD) No. 1119 of 2015, dated: 27.10.2015). I convened a meeting with all Deputy Commissioners of Police and Assistant Commissioners of Police, Madurai City, on 27.11.2015 to discuss about the places for conducting public meetings, Street corner meetings and demonstrations in Madurai City in order to get their opinion.

2. As per the convention of the City and availability of space, the following places have been agreed upon for conducting public meetings, street corner meetings and demonstrations. The places will be allotted as per the local condition and the number of persons likely to attend the meetings.

Note:

1. (***) In front of Head post office, Scott road (Permission rejected since stay obtained from Madurai Bench of Madras High Court W.P.No.8987/15 dt.08.06.2015, Petition filed by Sirajudeen, Secretary Meenakshi Bazaar Small Traders Association)

2. demonstrations can be held in all the public meeting places also.

3. Street corner meetings can be allowed in all public meeting, demonstration places and the places wherever traffic will not be paralyzed.

2. The representatives of all political parties , NGO, Government unions, Trade unions and private organisations etc are requested to make use of the above places for their democratic activities.
3. Suggestions and representations by stakeholder would be considered democratielly (support by majority) time to time to make deletion and addition in the above list.

4. These approved places will come in force with immediate effect. The above mentioned places may be allotted depending on the local conditions and availability and number of persons likely to attend demonstrations and public meeting.

SPEEDY DETECTION OF A CASE OF MURDER FOR GAIN

A Team of Madurai City Police promptly detected a sensational case of Murder for gain, in which a young woman Pavithra was murdered and robbed on 20-11-2015. Deceased was married around an year before and she has planned to visit her husband living at Dubai and booked her ticket for travel on 02-12-2015. She was living with her mother-in-law, who is a government servant and routinely she attends her office in day time.

On the day of occurrence, two accused entered into her house and murdered deceased in the absence of her mother-in-law. This case is a serious crime as well as a misery of human trust on known persons. Out of two accused, one was a woman tailor who was known to the deceased in process of her routine tailoring requirement for a longer time. Taking advantage of her familiarity accused Shyamala tailor gained entry into her house with planned intention of crime and murdered her with the help of associate boy friend Ramesh by using Sharp weapon and physical attack. A case in Tallakulam Police station was registered u/s 302, 380 IPC.

A team of the following officers was pressed into duty to detect the case. The Special team succeeded to work out the case within 6 days and arrested accused. Stolen properties were also recovered.

Police is committed to take all sincere efforts to punish accused and secure justice to Pavithra and her family members.

Citizens are advised to install CCTV in their residential complexes to create deterrence on bad characters and help police in prevention of similar crime and loss of human lives.

காவல்துறையினருக்கான அகில இந்திய அளவிலான காவல் திறனாய்வு போட்டி கடந்த 27.11.2015 அன்று பஞ்சாப் மாநிலம், சண்டிகரில் நடைபெற்றது. இப்போட்டியில், தமிநாடு காவல்துறை சார்பாக, மதுரை மாநகர் கரிமேடு காவல் நிலைய குற்றப்பிரிவு தலைமை காவலர் திரு. கண்ணன் “கூர்நோக்கு & கூர் ஆய்வு” (PORTRAIT & OBSERVATION) போட்டியில் மூன்றாமிடம் பெற்று வெண்கல பதக்கம் பெற்றார். இவரை மதுரை மாநகர காவல் ஆணையர் திரு.சைலேஷ் குமார் யாதவ், இ.கா.ப., அவர்கள் பாராட்டினார்.

Tr. P. Chandran, Inspector of Police, E3 Anna Nagar Crime PS and his team arrested three accused (1) Bagyalakshmi @ Rathika, aged 30/2015, w/o. Karthick (2) Karthick s/o. Subramaniyan, (3) Viswanathan 59/15, S/o. Ramasamy who had cheated 4 doctors in disguise of Kotak Life Insurance agent fraudulently  got Rs.2.5 lakhs from each through cheque.  In this connection a case in E3 Anna Nagar Crime PS Cr.No.1713/2015 u/s 406, 468, 420 IPC @ 406, 468, 420, 380 IPC  was registered.  Team led by Inspector made recovery of properties purchased by using stolen/cheated amount.

Best Performers for the Month of November 2015

Tr.G.Pethuraj, Inspector of Police, Serious Crime Squad, Madurai City and his team detected long pending and sensational murder for gain in E1 K.Pudur L&O PS Cr.No.317/2015 u/s 379, 364, 342, 397, 302 IPC which was pending for last 7 months. In this case one V.Karuppasamy of Mosakudi Village, Ramnad District was robbed and murdered in a Maruthi Omni Van which was stolen few days prior. Inspector assisted by his team arrested the two accused 1. Sadham Hussain, S/o. Kamalbava of Anna Nagar, Chennai and 2. Suresh, S/o. Raja, Melamadai, Madurai  and recovered the stolen property.
